Gunshot victim turns up at hospital; deputies looking for shooter

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - A man who had been shot twice relied on a friend to drive him to the hospital instead of calling for an ambulance or police.

According to the report at the sheriff's department, Scott Shoaf, 36, was driven to the hospital by a friend.  It was determined that Shoaf had been shot twice.

Shoaf was treated, then taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  He is expected to recover.

Investigators say the shooting likely happened around 7:30 Monday night in the 3100 block of Weddington Road in Kannapolis.
