VA to host Town Hall type meeting Tuesday night

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - A Town Hall type meeting is set to take place on Tuesday night at the W.G. Bill Hefner Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salisbury.

The VA Secretary has directed that Town Hall events and Listening Sessions occur with Veterans at each facility across the Department of Veterans Affairs.

This session will be an open forum for Veterans and a listening session for VA leadership. Veterans, family members and other beneficiaries are encouraged to attend.

Congressional stakeholders, Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs), Non-Governmental Organizations and other community partners are welcome.

The town hall will be open to the media. To protect individual privacy and confidentiality, specific individual issues should be addressed before or after the meeting, not during the public forum.

The meeting will take place between 5:30 and 7:00 at the Salisbury VA Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Avenue.  The meeting will be held in the Social Room in Building 6.

Those attending will including Salisbury VAMC Director Kaye Green, FACHE Associate Director Linette Baker, MPA Chief of Staff Subbarao Pemmaraju, MHA, and MD Nurse Executive Garrett Schreier, MSN, RN.
