The body of a missing 75-year-old man has been found after deputies say he went missing while on a fishing trip over the weekend.
The body of Chong Va Lee was found just below the Oxford Dam on the Catawba River, not far from where his canoe was found Saturday.
Authorities believe Lee slipped on the rocks on the shoreline and fell into the water.
His family says he never returned from his fishing trip. Lee's truck was found near his canoe just east of Oxford Dam.
Lee came to the United States in the 1970's after fighting on the side of U.S. soldiers in the Vietnam War. They say he was a family man.
"He was so giving and loving. Never complained or quit and he loved his grandchildren so much," daughter-in-law Celeste Lee said.
