Hold your fantasy football draft at Arrowhead Stadium

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Friday is the last day people can snag a coveted spot to host their fantasy football draft inside Arrowhead Stadium.

There are only a few suites still up for grabs so people will have to sign up fast.

Many fantasy football fans will likely be picking Jamaal Charles as their No. 1 choice. A select few will make their picks from inside Arrowhead Stadium.

"It gives us a chance to get together after the weekend to brag or pout about how our teams did," said Ryan Pals, a fantasy football fan.

For 12 years Pals and his buddies duked it out in a highly competitive fantasy football draft. Last year they got the chance to do it from inside Arrowhead Stadium.

"We've got WiFi in the stadium. We are going to stock your suite with food. We are going to stock your suite with beer, team photo and full fantasy football draft kit. You also get a game ticket," said David Young, the vice president of stadium operations.

For $85 someone can host their draft from inside an Arrowhead suite. Chief's cheerleaders will stop by to cheer on the teams.

Last year Kansas City Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey visited the suites. Pals wished Dorsey would have offered up some inside tips.

"He should have because I finished last last year in the league," Pals said.

The Chiefs are blazing the trail by allowing fans to host drafts inside Arrowhead.

"Overlooking the field while you are doing your draft. It was amazing," Young said.

Many NFL teams are calling, hoping to soon host similar events. Pals said he and his friends will be back.

The Arrowhead draft starts at 5 p.m. on Sept. 1. The cost is $85 per ticket and there is an eight ticket minimum per suite.
