First Day Back to School in York, Chesterfield Counties

Good morning! It's Christine Nelson here emailing you from the WBTV newsroom. It's Wednesday, August 20. Here is a first look at the stories we're covering on WBTV News This Morning from 4:30-9:00 a.m.

It's the first day back to school today for dozens of schools in South Carolina! Rock Hill Schools, York County District 1, Clover School District and Chesterfield County Schools start today. We have team coverage of what students and parents should expect this school year:

Ashton Pellom, who is in charge of our SC news bureau, will be talking to the new superintendent of Rock Hill Schools. We are also learning of an anti-bullying campaign taking place at schools in York County. Plus, we have live interviews with the superintendent of the Clover School District and Chesterfield County Schools.

Texas Governor Rick Perry's mugshot has been released after he turned himself in to authorities in Travis County, Texas.
