BOONE, NC (WBTV) -

The mother of a man who was charged after police say he and another woman burglarized a church just one day after the church gave them charity was arrested in connection to the crime.

Fifty-year-old Kathy Pully Toler was arrested on Wednesday and charged with felony possession of stolen property. Investigators say that stolen property came from the Alliance Bible Fellowship church in Boone.

On July 30, 26-year-old Jessica Carol Cullbreth and 30-year-old James Eddie Pulley, the son of Kathy Toler, went to the Alliance Bible Fellowship claiming to be "in dire need of assistance," according to the original report.

The organization then gave the duo food, gasoline for their vehicle, and school supplies for their children.

Then, on July 31, police received a report of a breaking and entering and larceny at the church where over $1,000 in power equipment was stolen. Investigators say they quickly identified Cuthbert and Pulley as suspects in the crime.

Police say stolen property was found the duo's home and from various pawn shops in Tennessee.

Both Cullbreth and Pulley were arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony obstruction of justice, and felony conspiracy to commit breaking and entering.

They were also served outstanding warrants from Durham and Wake Counties for various charges.

Cullbreth and Pulley were taken to the Watauga County Detention Center. Cullbreth is being held on a $68,500 bond and Pulley a $112,000 bond.

Both are due in court on September 24.

Toler was given a $10,000 bond and is due in court on September 24.
