Hometown: Mark was born in New Jersey then moved with his family to Sandy Springs, GA during the 1996 Summer Olympics! (Awesome first impression)

Education: Graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Broadcast News.

Family: Mark and his wife Brittney live in South Charlotte with their lab-beagle and foodie, Sam. Brittney is a teacher with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Sam, again, loves all food.

Career: Mark joined WBTV News in December 2013. After 6 months working the nightside shift, he jumped at the opportunity to report for WBTV News This Morning. Mark works solo and chases breaking news as it happens.

Prior to working in Charlotte, Mark reported at WCSC-TV in Charleston, SC and before that worked behind the scenes as an editor, field producer and production specialist at The Weather Channel in Atlanta. He got his start reporting college sports for, a college network that partnered with FOX News, while at UGA.

Favorite Stories: All things weather! When Hurricane Arthur came calling on the North Carolina coast, Mark suited up and reported on damage and the storm's aftermath from Atlantic Beach, NC on WBTV News This Morning.

In the same vein, Mark flew with the Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters into the eye of Superstorm Sandy 10,000 feet above the Atlantic just before the storm slammed into the East Coast. He captured the crew's intense job of measuring and passing along information about the massive storm just hours before it made landfall.

While at the Weather Channel, Mark was a part of the team that brought Cantore Stories, with Meteorologist Jim Cantore, to life. Starting out by logging countless hours of interviews and shot charts, Mark worked his way up to finally editing, writing and shooting segments for the show on location.

Big Coverage: Mark has reported from The Masters (2), the 2012 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island, The Final Four (2), the U.S. Supreme Court, on the Adoptive Couple v. Baby Girl decision "Baby Veronica Case", SEC Football Media Days (3) and SEC Gymnastic Championship.

Hobbies: Getting outside and having an adventure, Mark is up for anything active. He loves to run and stay in shape but also loves his grandmother's Spaghetti and Meatballs (... world's greatest). Mark loves spending time with his family in Atlanta and Rome, GA and exploring Charlotte with his wife Brittney.

He bleeds Red & Gold (a 49ers Faithful) and only speaks two words during the college football season, "Go Dawgs!"
