Two firefighters had to be treated for minor injuries after a fire broke out at a home in east Charlotte early Wednesday morning.

According to firefighters, the fire broke out along the 7000-block of Dorn Circle. This is off Independence Blvd. between Idlewild Rd. and Harris Blvd.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke and fire in the attic of the house. Only one person was at home when the fire broke out.  WBTV has learned he was watching television when he smelled smoke.
