Police trying to ID man who robbed pharmacy at gunpoint

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Police in Charlotte are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man that robbed a local business at gunpoint.

The incident happened just before 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Doc's Pharmacy store on the 2800 block of Freedom Drive.

Investigators said the man, who was caught on surveillance video, robbed the business at gunpoint then left on foot in an unknown direction.

The robber is described as a dark-skinned black male, approximately 5'10" tall, weighing around 230 pounds.

He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a white shirt underneath, jeans, dark shoes, a black hat and black sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the incident or the man's identity is asked to call Crimestoppers at 704-334-1600.
