Man found shot three times in Chester County

CHESTER, SC (WBTV) -

State investigators have been called to Chester County after a man was found shot three times near a convenience store.

Officers found 39-year-old Robert Lee Williams Jr on Thursday with gunshot wounds.

According to investigators, they were initially called to one address and then rerouted to another location along Lancaster Street in Chester. This is near Clack's convenience store.

Investigators say there are three different crime scenes connected to the shooting, so the police chief requested help from the sheriff's office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Crime Scene Unit (SLED).

Williams was transported to the Chester Regional Medical Center for treatment and later transported to Carolinas Medical Center, in Charlotte, for further treatment.
