LANCASTER COUNTY, SC (WBTV) -

A man who tried to run over two police officers in Lancaster has turned himself in to police to face attempted murder charges.

According to police, Tyzhe Hough turned himself at the Lancaster Police Department on Thursday afternoon.

Officers say they 19-year-old ran over two officers after refusing to comply with their commands on July 6.

Police say they responded to a crash between Hough and another person when officers smelled marijuana in his vehicle and ordered him out of the car.  Hough refused to get out of the car and then ran over the two officers.

Officials say Hough led police on a chase on Highway 903 before crashing his car on Beacon road. Hough then got away on foot.

He turned himself in to police on Thursday. Hough faces charges of two counts of attempted murder and a single count of failure to stop for blue lights and siren.

Hough is also facing charges from Pageland Police Department, stemming from a pursuit that took place there over the past weekend.

The officers were treated and released from Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.
