Northwestern returns with big shoes to fill

After leading the Northwestern Trojans to an undefeated season, and following it up with a State Championship, Kyle Richardson was recently named Football Coach of the Year. The award was voted on by the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association.

2014 could be more challenging for the Trojans.

Despite six offensive and defensive starters returning, Richardson will be dealing with a young team and will have to fill the quarterback position. QB Mason Rudolph left for Oklahoma State.

The Trojans begin the season hosting Brynes, and then away at Christian Catholic in week two. We'll have to wait until then to see what this team is really made of. Football Friday Night's annual preview show is August 15th on WBTV.
