Sheriff to hold press conference on Erica Parsons case

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - Rowan County Sheriff Kevin Auten is holding a press conference on Tuesday to take questions from reporters on the case of Erica Parsons.

Parsons, 15, was reported missing from her home by her adoptive brother on July 31 of last year.

The investigation has gotten national and worldwide media attention.  Investigators have conducted exhaustive interviews with family members, including adoptive parents Sandy and Casey Parsons, and a $35,000 reward has been offered, but no trace of Erica Parsons has been found.

This is only the second time in a year that investigators have talked to reporters about the case.

WBTV will be at the press conference and will provide live updates through Twitter and Facebook and live reports on WBTV News.
