Erica Parsons exclusive: Adoptive mother reflects on year

Hello and good morning! It's Christine Nelson, doing my daily check-in with you first thing this morning. Today is Wednesday, July 23. Here is a first look at the stories we're covering on WBTV News This Morning from 4:30-9:00 a.m.

Exclusive interview with Casey Parsons. Remember she is the adoptive mother of Erica Parsons who, to this day, has not been found. There has been a lot of media coverage of Casey and Sandy Parsons, Erica's adoptive parents. Casey sits one-on-one with WBTV talking about why they moved away from their home and the treatment they've received from the community. She also talks about where she thinks Erica is. Tune in for that interview.

Also, we first told you about Rausel Arista, the Charlotte father who has been living in the United States illegally the last 15 years and was detained in Buffalo, NY. He has since been released and, according to the Latin American Coalition, will be back in Charlotte today.

VIDEO ALERT: We have images from a Mooresville bank robbery in hopes the public can help catch the robber.

SCAM ALERT! We first told you about the "grandparents scam," where someone calls posing as your grandchild asking for money. There's been a local victim - scammed out of $3,000! We'll have their story.

See you on the air! We'll have a lot more local stories to tell you about.
