Mattress catches fire inside southeast Charlotte apartment

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Investigators are hoping to learn what sparked a mattress fire in southeast Charlotte early Monday morning.

According to investigators, the mattress caught fire at the Wallace Woods apartment complex along the 7100-block of Wallace Road around 12:30 a.m.

No one was injured in the fire. WBTV has learned that two adults and two children were inside the home.

Investigators are working to learn what caused the mattress to catch fire.

The Red Cross is helping the four people who lived inside.
