Will we hit record lows this morning? No 90s in the forecast

Posted: Updated:
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A fantastic morning Thursday as cool and comfortable temperatures bottom out near the record low of 62 degrees set in 2004.

With the cool start in mind, temperatures during the afternoon will remain a little below the mid-July average, close to 90 degrees, under mostly sunny skies, we'll be back in the mid 80s and with reasonable humidity again, says WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin.

By Friday stray thunderstorms may already return for the mountains and foothills and then everyone will be fair game for scattered storms over the weekend.

At this point, Sunday looks more active than Saturday, but neither day appears to be a washout.

Once again we have a forecast with no 90 degree weather over the next seven days; quite and achievement for July!
