Sheriff: warrants issued, woman on the run for stealing from mother

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - Arrest warrants have been issued for a Salisbury woman who the sheriff says is on the run after stealing from her own mother.

Sixteen warrants have been issued for Bonnie Danette Breedlove for obtaining property by false pretenses.

According to investigators, Breedlove's mother was told by her bank that her account had been compromised.  They determined that her daughter had been writing checks of the mother's account and taking the money.

A total of 16 checks were taken from the mother between May 18 and July 8, totaling $2590.

Of the 16 checks, 9 were written to Bonnie Breedlove, 6 to cash, and 1 to Danette Breedlove.

The checks were cashed at the bank and at a check cashing business.

On July 10 deputies were called to the Mooresville area home of the mother.  The deputy located the mother's checkbook in Breedlove's truck, according to the report.

Investigators say Breedlove cannot be located.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
