Star Carolina Panthers player Greg Hardy has been sentenced to 60 days in prison... followed by an 18-month probation for assaulting his girlfriend Nicole Holder. But he won't be serving that sentence immediately. The motion Hardy's attorney filed late last night means this case is far from over. We'll explain.

Was the upset for Catawba County district attorney a surprise? Incumbent Jay Gaither lost the runoff election to David Learner and has since called to congratulate him. Gaither was plagued by bad publicity leading up to the run-off after an assistant district attorney accused him of sexual harassment.

LIVE: Overnight we learned of a meth lab bust in Rock Hill, South Carolina. There were arrests and a child was taken away too. WBTV's Astrid Martinez has details on how police discovered the lab in a live report.
