Crews save half of house after fire breaks out in SE Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Firefighters were able to save half of a home in Charlotte after a fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon.

According to firefighters in Charlotte, it took nearly three dozen firefighters about 20 minutes to get out a fire along the 5900-block of Portburn Road. This is near Rama Road.

The fire broke out at the home around 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday. Most of the damage is in the back of the house.

Firefighters say no one was injured and crews were able to save about half the home.
