Kraken to court

Hi everyone and happy Monday. This is Paul Cameron in the WBTV Newsroom.

Does the summer seem like it's flying by? A teacher friend of mine was just lamenting it's four weeks and counting before you know what.

Tonight at 11:00-- the Kraken goes to court tomorrow. Panthers star defensive end Greg Hardy is accused of beating his ex-girlfriend. A well-known defense attorney tonight tells us his accused may have some trouble with the credibility of her story. David Spunt talks to legal expert George Laughrun.

Have you ever heard of secondary drowning? It's rare and can sneak up on kids hours after they've left the pool. Reporter Pamela Escobar is looking into symptoms and telling parents what to watch for.

Molly Grantham has a series of stories this week urging you to think fast in an emergency. Tonight-- what to do with an aggressive driver on your tail before it turns to road rage.

Have you seen the video of the hailstorm in Russia? Sun bathers in the Orb river are suddenly pelted by hailstones the size of baseballs. They run for cover as the hail turns the river and beach sand into thousands of huge splashes. Several people suffered deep bruises.

Finally, tomorrow marks 65 years that WBTV has been on air. Happy Birthday to the first TV station of the Carolinas!

Please join Molly Grantham, Eric Thomas, Delano Little and me fore WBTV News at 11:00 in just a few minutes.
