A.L. Brown looking to challenge in MECKA 4A

A.L. Brown has been looking good during this summer 7 on 7 off season as they prepare for their 2nd year as a 4A team.

Coach Mike Newsome will have a lot of talent to work with in 2014. 6 starters are back on both sides of the ball and they have 36 lettermen back which means a lot of the guys who were reserves last season have varsity game experience.

On offense, a big key is the return of leading rusher Sandon McCoy.

At QB Damon Johnson is back and he will be pushed by back up QB Josh Endicott.

The defense will be strong as well especially in the secondary with safeties Daveon Perry and Kyrie Wilkes.

Coming from 3A to 4A, the Wonders went 7-5 last season. They are expecting better things in 2014 with that year of experience.
