SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - Expect hot weather again this weekend across Rowan and surrounding counties, according to WBTV meteorologist Al Conklin.
Conklin says with the passage of a weak front overnight Friday, thunderstorms have shifted eastward toward the beaches this morning.
Conklin says he still can't rule out a wayward storm in the viewing area this afternoon, but he's expecting considerably less stormy weather today.
With more sunshine in the forecast Friday, we'll warm up to near seasonal levels this afternoon, close to 90 degrees.
Temperatures will remain near average heading into the weekend as well, but then jump into the low to mid 90s early in the work week before we get another noticeable break from the heat and humidity late next week, Conklin says.
