CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Charlotte will look like a sea of pink and green this coming week.

This weekend begins the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority national convention in Charlotte.  It runs July 12-18 and will draw more than 11,500 members of the oldest sorority for college-educated African-American women.

Several of the events are open to the public including a Town Hall and Youth Summit.

Chairperson Anna Kate Davis visited WBTV News Saturday Morning to talk about the convention.  For more information, click here.
