According to police in Charlotte, officers received the call around 9:15 Monday night for a shooting along the 8600-block of Deerwood Road.

Two men were outside a house.

Witnesses told police a vehicle drove by and someone from inside that car fired several shots - around 8 bullets - at the two men.

A 49-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, both from Charlotte, were injured in the shooting

Police say one victim was shot twice - in the hand and leg. And the other was shot in the abdomen. Both are expected to recover.

According to police, witnesses told officers that after the shooting someone from inside the vehicle got out, and stole a car that was parked outside the house where the two victims were.

"It does not appear to be a random act of violence" said Lt Andy Royston of Charlotte Mecklenburg Police. "It appears there was some of relationship between victims and suspects."

A 42-year-old woman who lives at the home was also treated for a serious injury, according to the police report. A 74-year-old woman was also listed on the report, but it doesn't appear that she was injured.
