The search continues for a missing 12-year-old-girl in St. James Parish. Talaija Dorsey, 12, went missing early Tuesday.

Since her disappearance, her mother's fiancé, 42-year-old John Celestine, was arrested for obstruction of justice and false reports in connection to the girl's disappearance.

Crews have searched the girl's hometown of St. James, as well as neighboring Assumption Parish in hopes of locating Dorsey. On Friday, search crews focused their efforts along the route Celestine took to work, specifically LA-3127.

Celestine worked in Jefferson Parish. His co-workers tell the sheriff's office that he was a dependable employee, authorities say.

The St. James Sheriff's Office is also searching for a vehicle allegedly linked to the 12-year-old's disappearance and Celestine. Officers are searching for a missing white 2001 Chrysler Concord.

On Thursday, about 35 officers from local, state and federal agencies searched in sugar cane fields in Assumption Parish. Officials on horseback, ATVs and planes searched the land with no avail. Officials say that Celestine does not own the land, but has connections to the property.

Anyone with information on the incident or the whereabouts of Talaija Dorsey is asked to contact Crime Stoppers toll free at 1-877-903-STOP. Crime Stoppers is now offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for Dorsey's disappearance.
