Roses ripped off from Rufty's

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - More than $250 worth of roses in containers were swiped from the lot at Rufty's Garden Shop on W. Innes Street on Wednesday night.

A witness called police that he saw two black men loading roses onto a cart, and that they had pushed over the chain link fences that borders the Rufty's property.

When police arrived the men, and the roses, were gone.

Owner Charlie Smith expressed frustration with the theft and hopes police will be able to find the thieves.

Anyone with information is asked to call Salisbury-Rowan Crimestoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
