Magistrate dismisses eviction notice against Jadeveon Clowney

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Columbia property owners filed an eviction notice against Jadeveon Clowney and his mother Josenna this week, according to court records.

Landmark Resources, LLC, who own Carolina Walk condos on South Stadium Road, filed a rule to vacate civil complaint on June 30, court records show.

According to South Carolina law, a landlord may bring an action of ejectment against a tenant when the tenant fails or refuses to pay the rent when due, when the term of tenancy or occupancy ends or when the terms or conditions of the lease are violated.

It's not clear why the property owners want to evict Clowney.

Clowney, who was the No. 1 overall pick in this year's NFL draft by the Houston Texans, is still recovering from sports hernia surgery.

Clowney told HoustonTexans.com rehab and recovery is a day by day process.

Landmark Resources, LLC, meanwhile, says the entire matter was cleared up Wednesday afternoon and a magistrate dismissed the claim on Thursday.

    Wesley Chapel Fire Department battled a residential fire in Union County Tuesday night. Officials say flames were showing upon their arrival. The fire was extinguished within ten minutes, reports stated. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was called to assist the homeowner.

    Briggs, the dog York County police found with his tongue cut off and tied to a tree, passed away Tuesday night.  Noah's Arks Rescue posted an update on Briggs stating he had become septic and was unable to keep down any food or water from the previous day.
