STANLY COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

Two people were found dead inside an outbuilding in Stanly County Wednesday after an apparent murder-suicide, according to deputies.

Sixteen-year-old Amanda Christine Hill and 26-year-old Kristapher Michael Schmidt were found dead inside an outbuilding on the 24000 block of NC Highway 73.

Officials said that both died from gunshot wounds, and that evidence suggests that Schmidt shot Hill before turning the gun on himself.

Investigators say there was no evidence of a third person being involved.

WBTV is working to gather more information, and will provide updates as they become available.
