ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

Deputies in York County are trying to find a man they say robbed a liquor store Monday.

The robbery happened at 3:50 p.m. at the Liquor Express on the 500 block of North Anderson Road in Rock Hill.

Officials said 34-year-old Christopher "Chris" Eldridge Smith was in the store pretending to be a customer before he showed an unknown object, possibly a knife, to the cashier and demanded money.

He then left the store on foot with the money and at least two bottles of alcohol.

The Sheriff's Office released surveillance video of the incident Tuesday, which they said led to Smith being identified as the suspect.

Detectives obtained three warrants on Smith for armed robbery with a deadly weapon and two counts of kidnapping.

Officials say Smith also has weapons violations and is on probation for armed robbery with a deadly weapon from New York.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about Smith's whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers of York County at 1-877-409-4321 or the York County Sheriff's Office at 803-628-3056 or 628-3059.
