Salisbury: Fibrant reaches 3000 customer mark

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - The City of Salisbury's Fibrant network announced today the sign up of its 3,000th subscriber, according to a press release provided to WBTV.

Fibrant, which provides internet, television and phone services exclusively for residents and businesses within the Salisbury city limits, set up its first test customer in July 2010.

Fibrant began offering services for sale in November 2010 and boasted upwards of 1,200 customers signed up just 10 months later, in August 2011.

As a state of the art, fiber to the home utility, Fibrant employs 100% fiber optics to carry a full suite of communication services to residential homes and businesses.

Steady, continued growth has ensured Fibrant's success as the numbers have grown to reach a new milestone of 3,000 subscribers just four years after the initial test setup.

Fibrant General Manager Mike Jury stated, "We here at Fibrant are excited about reaching this milestone of 3,000 subscribers. The hard work and dedication our sales and operational staff have put in, allowing us to reach this City Council goal, could not make us more proud."

An industry veteran with over twenty-five years of experience, Jury joined the Fibrant team in March 2012 when Fibrant subscribers totaled 1,700.

Jury continued by thanking Fibrant customers, stating, "We want to thank our loyal customers for choosing Fibrant, and helping us pave the way for the future. The opportunity to continue on this upward path, while serving our community, is something we are committed to, in the present and coming years."
