A Cornelius teen was arrested after investigators say he and another man stole alcohol out of a boat at a Lake Norman Marina and fired a stun gun at the owner as they ran away.

Bryce Patrick Burns, 17, is charged with first degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering, assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of second degree trespassing and possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.

The incident was reported on June 22 at the All Seasons Marina in Mooresville around 2:20 a.m.

Deputies arrived and the boat owner told them he was awakened by two people on his boat.

The owner chased them off his boat and to the end of the dock, according to the report.

One of the two men turned and fired a stun gun at him telling him to get away.

The boat owner was able to get the tag number from the vehicle they left in.

Deputies were able to get video surveillance of the incident from the marina.

The boat owner reported that a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka and a bottle of Gatorade was missing from his boat.

According to the news release from the Sheriff's Office, deputies traced the vehicle back to an apartment complex in Cornelius, where Burns was taken into custody.

The release says that Burns would not identify the second person involved in the incident.

He was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center.
