Man arrested for breaking into Statesville restaurant

STATESVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

A Statesville man was charged with breaking into a restaurant Wednesday night.

The break-in was reported just before 10 p.m. at The Rolling Pin on the 1100 block of Shelton Avenue, according to the Statesville Police Department.

Officers arrived and found Willie Lerence Gresham, 30, of Statesville, in the shadows behind the restaurant.

Police say he broke out two glass windows with a flower planter.

Nothing was reported stolen.

Gresham had shards of glass in his shoes and hair, police say.

He was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering.

Bond was set at $10,000.
