Today's forecast: Lower humidity and weaker storm chances means go to the pool

Posted: Updated:
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin says things quiet down a bit for Thursday, as a weak front moves through the area, settling just to our south tonight.

With the above in mind, we'll see few, if any thunderstorms outside of the mountains today and even a tiny drop in the humidity.

Conklin says lots of sun is anticipated Thursday with a hot afternoon high near 90 degrees.

The weather pattern turns more active for Friday and Saturday, as a slow-moving low pressure system is forecast to drift across the South, bringing a much better chance for showers and thunderstorms both days.

Highs will still be close to 90 degrees Friday, but mid 80s - along with high humidity - can be expected Saturday.
