Musician injured in motorcycle accident to perform at fund raiser Saturday

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - A fund raiser is planned for a local musician who was seriously injured when a car pulled out in front of his motorcycle in March.

Uncle Buck's in downtown Salisbury is having a fundraiser David Myers this Saturday from 4 until midnight or so. 7 bands are going to be playing, including Myers band.

This will be his 2nd time performing in public since being paralyzed from the chest down in an accident on March 11th and the first  time he has been able to play the guitar in a performance.

Friends say that he is an amazing inspiration to many.

"If you get a chance, look up his story on FB at Big Donate," says aunt Cindy Smith Bernhardt. "His attitude and resilience have been beyond anything anyone could have imagined. His girlfriend/partner has stayed by his side the whole way!"
