On the run: Boyfriend of missing teacher

Hello and good morning. Today is Wednesday, June 25. It's Christine Nelson here in the WBTV newsroom letting you know what's ahead when you join us on WBTV News This Morning. We're live on the air from 4:30-9:00 a.m. on WBTV and Bounce TV.

The heat is turning up, not only on the investigation into missing teacher Bianca Tanner's whereabouts, but also on her boyfriend. Charlotte police have let us know that Angelo Grayson Smith, Jr. is on the run from them. While he's not considered a suspect in the homicide investigation police still expect him to do what's right and turn himself in for the charge against him of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. We'll hear from Bianca's family and their plea to Smith.

HAPPENING LIVE: We're about a couple hours away from sending off some local airmen to Afghanistan. WBTV's Astrid Martinez is life at the North Carolina Air National Guard with details.

Election results are in! With a dismal voter turnout the South Carolina ticket is set on both side for some high-profile political offices. We'll have election results from the primary runoff in the Palmetto state including a big upset for one nominee for state superintendent.

Speaking of races, Meteorologist Al Conklin might be licking his wounds this morning. You'll get to see the final standings in the media mayhem race at Charlotte Motor Speedway where he competed against other media outlets for bragging rights!

See you on air!
