Arrest warrant for missing teacher's boyfriend

Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend! It's me, Christine Nelson. Doing my daily check-in with you and letting you know we have a lot of stories to get you caught up on when you turn on WBTV News This Morning. The whole crew is here: me, John Carter, Al Conklin and Sammi Jo Francis. We're live on the air now until 9 a.m. on WBTV and Bounce TV.

Doing some more digging into the disappearance of the missing teacher, Bianca Tanner, has paid off. We learned an arrest warrant has been issued for her boyfriend Angelo Smith, Jr. The charge is for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. What does this have to do with the Bianca's disappearance? We are answering that question this morning and will have more details on the family continued efforts to find her.

Also, a sad weekend for friends of a recent Mallard Creek High School graduate. The 18-year-old drowned over the weekend. We learned more about what happened in the water that caused him to go under. We also learned the body of another young man who drowned in a Union County lake last week has been recovered.

JUST IN: Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Iraq, a nation that saw the departure of American troops just three years ago and now faces threat of a civil war.

Did you get stuck in any of the traffic because Providence Road in Charlotte was closed to install a sewer pipe? You'll be happy about what we have to report this morning.

And we'll talk about the U.S. Soccer's dramatic World Cup match and what they have to do to advance to the Round of 16!

See you on the air!

Christine
