Kannapolis Police said one person is still at large after a major drug roundup led to 24 arrests on Saturday
Police said the 24 people were rounded up by the Vice Narcotics Unit which targets illegal prescription drug violations and sales within the city.
The man who is still wanted by police is Kenneth Mitchell Duttry of Kannapolis.
Police said Duttry is wanted for possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule and sell schedule charges.
Charges of the 24 people arrested included possession of drug paraphernalia within 1000 feet of a school, selling drugs within 1000 feet of a school, and trafficking.
However, Police Chief Woody Chavis said prescription drugs are a huge problem in the area.
"A lot of people have prescription drug plans. And they get the prescription drugs cheap, and they're selling various amounts at various prices," Chavis said.
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office assisted with the arrests.
Anyone having information regarding offenders not yet arrested is asked to call the Kannapolis Police Department at 704.920.4000.
