SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

A Rowan County man charged earlier this month for soliciting sex from women in a Salisbury neighborhood is back in jail.

Jose Colindres, of Salisbury, is now charged with engaging prostitution, requesting a minor for prostitution and simple assault, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.

Salisbury police say the new charges stem from another victim coming forward after his initial arrest earlier this month.

Colindres was first arrested on June 5 after he solicited prostitution from an undercover officer.

Neighbors in the area of Wiley and Blair Streets called the police after Colindres solicited several women for sex, police say. According to witnesses, Colindres approached women from the ages of 12 to 74 offering to pay them for sex.

He approached the undercover officer and asked her if she had a boyfriend. When she said no, he told he had not been with anyone in two years and offered her $30 for sex, according to the report.

Police arrested him as he walked to his house on Heilig Avenue.

Colindres is now being held under a $5,000.
