Hello! Today is Friday, June 20. This is Christine Nelson in the WBTV Newsroom. As you're waking up this morning I wanted you to have a quick first look at the stories making headlines right now. WBTV News This Morning is live on the air now until 9 a.m. on WBTV and Bounce TV. Turn us on for more details on these headlines:

Yet another drowning death to report this morning. There have been quite a few already in the last month alone! In this case, a teenager fell off a boat in Lake Twitty in Union County. Divers didn't have any luck finding the 18-year-old last night but will resume their search in just a few hours. WBTV's Kristen Hampton will be on the scene bringing us live reports with the latest information.

Overnight, our news crew learned the man suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend a few days ago has died. We first reported this story earlier this week when Frances Gutnik's body was discovered in her home by her daughter Sunday. The next day Gutnik's ex-boyfriend Jimmy Estes was badly injured in a crash. Police say Estes deliberately caused the head-on collision. A source told us overnight Estes has since died.

BREAKING overnight news: A witness in Concord calls police after seeing a man get shot right in their neighborhood. WBTV's Mark Davenport is gathering details on the incident now. We'll let you know if a shooter is being sought right now.

ICYMI: We'll show you the Medal of Honor ceremony a University of South Carolina marine was awarded at the White House.

I have to go now. We'll see you on the air!
