by the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Rowan is the ideal program
for community leaders. Highly motivated individuals and existing
leaders are encouraged to apply for this elite program.
For one day a month for nine-months, participants get an
in-depth view of community issues, develop leadership skills necessary to
assume leadership roles; and are exposed to community involvement
The nine sessions' topics are: History and Power; Business and
the Economy; Public Education; Human Needs; Government; Criminal Justice;
Communications; and Quality of Life. Leadership Rowan is unlike other programs
because it provides participants the opportunity to meet and discuss issues
with "key" community leaders.
