After several days of heavy thunderstorms, the threat for more rain continues for the afternoon and evening hours through the end of the work week.
WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin says we have had more than our fair share of severe weather this week and he can't totally rule out strong storms again, but the greater threat through the end of the week appears to be heavy downpours.
Saturday may be our best bet for a break in the active stormy pattern, but it's likely storms increase in coverage again Sunday and into next week, Conklin says.
Temperatures will hold mostly in the 80s through the weekend until next week when low 90s become a better bet again.
