Making homes safer for seniors

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Maybe you worry about your aging parents and whether they are safe in their own homes.

This is a perfect time to check on them and do a once-over of the space in which they spend most of their time.

June is National Safety Month.  Home Instead Senior Care is offering some free resources for families.

    Prominent Charlotte physician Jonathan Christenbury tested positive for cocaine during a drug screening test in November, the N.C. Medical Board disclosed Friday. Christenbury admitted to ingesting the drug in October to alleviate depression, according to a legal notice filed by the board.
