Police in Charlotte have arrested a man they say robbed a man in his car in Plaza-Midwood on Thursday night.Robert Jay Harris, 20, is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon.The incident was reported at a supermarket at the corner of Thomas and Commonwealth Avenues around 11:30 p.m., according to Charlotte police.A man told police that he got in his car after shopping inside the store. Harris got into the car through the passenger side door and demanded his property at gunpoint.He left the area on foot toward Central Avenue.The victim was able to flag down an off duty officer in the area who broadcast the incident over the radio.Harris was spotted a short time later behind a building on Central Avenue.The handgun Harris used in the robbery was reported stolen in Charlotte on May 30.

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the lanes are closed on Interstate 77 northbound near Sunset Road.

Alcohol was a factor in two of these deaths. In 12 of the deaths, the victims were not wearing life preservers.
Chris' name will be front and center on Brad Keselowski's windshield for the race, with stars and stripes adorning the rest of the car.
The charges come after an FBI investigation into the robbery that took place in January of 2018.
