Will we hit 90 today? Would only be second time in 2014 so far

Posted: Updated:
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

High heat and humidity along with weak forcing in the atmosphere on Wednesday and Thursday will be enough to keep scattered storms in the forecast, says WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin.

The best chance today looks to be up over the mountains, while a more widespread chance for rain looks to come Thursday with our next front.

Behind the front, Friday looks quiet, but stray storms will reappear over the weekend.  Overall, a fairly typical forecast for the late spring, early summer season.

We may hit 90 today for the second time this year.  Quite a rise after not getting out of the 70s either Sunday or Monday.
