A massive alligator was found on Hilton Head
Island over the weekend.
Deputies spotted it in the middle of Old Cemetery
Road on Saturday. Joe Maffo, owner of Critter Management, caught the gator and
put him back into the New River levy.
Maffo told WTOC the gator was more than 1,000
pounds and over 12 feet long. He said the gator is in its 50s.

According to MEDIC, the incident occurred on Farmer Street around 1:45 p.m.
