Man who just moved to Rowan faces number of sex charges

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - A man who just moved to Rowan County is now facing a long list of serious sex charges, according to Kannapolis Police.

KPD officers served arrest warrants on Eliazar Mendoza, 37, for child abuse/committing a sex act on a juvenile, statutory rape, indecent liberties with a child, first degree rape, and first degree sexual offense on a child under the age of 13.

The alleged acts happened while Mendoza was living in Winston-Salem.

Mendoza is now being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a bond of $750,000.
