June's here, summer weather not far behind

Posted: Updated:

We eased into June with low humidity levels and comfortable temperatures, but that is all about to change, says WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin.

Starting on Tuesday, temperatures and humidity will begin to build.

Afternoon readings in the mid 80s are expected, and we'll be right around 90 degrees for Wednesday and Thursday before falling back in the mid 80s for Friday.

Moisture seeping in from the Gulf of Mexico will help to fire up pop-up showers and thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday, with our best chance of storms coming on Thursday as a front moves into the Carolinas.
