SAN FRANCISCO (KGO/CNN) – A San Francisco man accused of having explosive materials at his home was taken into custody Monday by federal law enforcement officials.
Ryan Chamberlain was arrested in Crissy Field near the Golden Gate Bridge.
Morgan Manos saw agents take Chamberlain into custody.
"I was sitting in my car and I heard some commotion. So I looked over my shoulder and saw that somebody was getting arrested. There was some commotion going on so I got out of my car, got my phone out, and started recording. I didn't really know what I was recording at first, but it became quickly evident that it was more than just some traffic stop violation," Manos said.
I could see his face and I could see by the number of uniforms and the type of uniforms. I noticed there was FBI, there was Homeland Security, and there was more than just SFPD, and I realized from a story I heard this morning that it was him."
Authorities had been looking for Chamberlain since the weekend.
On Saturday, authorities searched Chamberlain's apartment during an hours-long warrant operation. They did not say what types of explosives were allegedly found inside.
