Police: drunk waves gun after being told he can't drive home, then passes out

Salisbury Police say an intoxicated patron at a local bar became angry when the bartender told him that he couldn't drive home last night, so he went a got his gun.

According to a police report, the man was at the Firewater Grill on Avalon Drive.  When he tried to leave people at the bar told him that he was too intoxicated to drive and insisted that someone drive him to his home.

The man became angry, according to the report, went to his car, got a gun, put a bullet in the chamber, and waved it around without actually pointing it directly at anyone.

Police were called and when they arrived they found the man sitting in the front seat, apparently passed out.

Once awakened, the man told police that he did have a gun under the seat.  He was cited for violating the condition of his concealed carry permit.
