Police are investigating after a woman was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of a home improvement store in east Charlotte.
According to police, the woman was hit by a car at the Home Depot along the 9500-block of Albemarle Road just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
The incident appeared to happen across from the entrance of the store.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene to treat the woman.
The woman was loaded, using a back brace, into the ambulance and taken to the hospital for treatment.
It's unclear if the injuries were serious.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Interstate 77 North near mile marker 62, south of Richburg.
According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the incident happened in the 9400 block of White Cedar Street.
Medic says the incident happened in the 600 block of South Tryon Street.
